The 3rd BRICS Transport Ministers' Meeting concluded in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on July 11, 2026, under India's BRICS Chairship 2026. The meeting marked a significant milestone in deepening transport cooperation among BRICS member countries and was preceded by the 3rd BRICS Transport Working Group Senior Officials' Meeting held on July 9-10, 2026, where senior officials finalized agenda outcomes and the Ministerial Declaration for adoption.

The meeting culminated in the unanimous adoption of the Ministerial Declaration, which outlined a shared framework for collaboration across multiple transport sectors. Key areas of cooperation include circularity in infrastructure, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Transport Decarbonisation, Urban Mobility Hub, Logistics Supply Chain Cooperation, and the establishment of a BRICS Railway Research Network.

Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari thanked all delegation members for their support in reaching the successful outcome. India expressed appreciation for the constructive engagement and valuable contributions of all BRICS member countries, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring a smooth transition of these initiatives to successive BRICS Chairship.

The four-day program brought together Transport Ministers, senior officials, and technical experts from BRICS Member Countries, featuring both formal meetings and bilateral engagements. The event also included cultural presentations showcasing the rich diversity of BRICS nations, providing a platform to deepen mutual understanding, foster people-to-people connections, and strengthen interpersonal and institutional ties among participating delegations.
