The Union Cabinet approved Jaipur Metro Phase-2, a 41 km long North-South corridor with 36 stations, costing ₹13,037.66 crore.
The project will connect major nodes like Sitapura Industrial Area and Jaipur Airport, integrating with Phase-1 to boost ridership from current 60,000 daily.
Funding includes equity from Government of India and Rajasthan, with EIRR >14%, and multilateral financing per Metro Rail Policy 2017.
Targeted for completion by September 2031, it aims to reduce traffic congestion, lower emissions, and enhance urban mobility in Jaipur.
