Cambridge University Press & Assessment announced science teacher Soma Mandal as South Asia regional winner of the 2026 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Awards.
Soma will receive £500 in books, a trophy, and publicity, including a thank‑you page in new Cambridge textbooks launching November 2026.
The competition attracted over 12,000 nominations from 126 countries, with voting open until 13:30 IST on 13 May 2026.
Rod Smith, Group Managing Director of International Education at Cambridge, highlighted the award’s role in climate education empowerment.
