CEEW, with SFC, NRDC, BRAC JPGSPH, UNESCAP, launches South Asia Hub of Global Heat Health Information Network on World Health Day.
Hub, funded by Wellcome, will start operations in April 2026, aiming to unite over 60 institutions and train more than 500 professionals.
The initiative targets extreme heat risk, noting 57% of Indian districts and nearly 90% of South Asia population face high exposure by 2030.
Chair Dr Vishwas Chitale and CEEW CEO Dr Arunabha Ghosh emphasize coordinated, science‑driven action to protect vulnerable communities and improve health‑related productivity.
