The Department of Fisheries approved 120 projects in Tamil Nadu under PMMSY with a total cost of ₹1,240.58 crore and a central share of ₹480.09 crore.
The central government has released ₹222.05 crore for these projects and utilized an additional ₹123.06 crore from unspent Blue Revolution Scheme funds.
A separate fish landing center project in Thangachimad is 70% complete, with ₹92 crore released and completion expected by June 2027.
