Cosmo Energy will receive 1 million barrels of Mexico’s Isthmus crude via Eagle Kuantan and Eagle Kangar from Pemex’s Pajaritos terminal.
The purchase marks Japan’s first Mexican crude import since 2023, driven by Iran‑war disruptions and near‑closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Cosmo secured additional supplies from Mexico and the United States to keep its three refineries operating for the next three months.
