The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) successfully conducted a ten-day induction programme for thirty-eight newly recruited scientists from various CSIR laboratories across India from September 21-30, 2026 at the CSIR-Human Resource Development Centre campus in Ghaziabad. The programme aimed to provide comprehensive understanding of CSIR's scientific, administrative, and collaborative ecosystem while equipping participants with technical expertise and behavioral competencies essential for effective scientific leadership.
The induction programme featured expert lectures delivered by eminent scientists and Directorate Heads from CSIR and other organizations including Dr. Vibha Malhotra Sahwney, Dr. Manoj Semwal, Dr. Jyoti Yadav, Dr. Rama Swami Bansal, Dr. Anirban Pal, Dr. Debashis Bandyopadhyay, and Dr. Rajnish Kumar from IIT BHU. Technical sessions covered AI in Drug Discovery and Development, Technology Transfer, and Commercialization, providing insights into translating scientific innovations into societal and industrial impact.
A key highlight was participants' involvement in the 85th CSIR Foundation Day celebrations at the National Agricultural Science Complex in New Delhi, where they interacted with eminent dignitaries, distinguished scientists, and professionals from leading scientific and research organizations. The valedictory function on September 30, 2026 featured Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar, Director of AcSIR, as chief guest who emphasized stronger collaboration between CSIR laboratories and the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research to achieve greater academic and research excellence. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Shobhna Choudhary (Scientist F) and Mrs. Preeti Chaudhary (Sr. Technical Officer).
