The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2026, with nationwide participation across its various organizations and institutions. The celebrations were conducted under the official theme 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing' and were led by Secretary Tejveer Singh, who along with officials and staff adopted a resolution to promote yoga as India's timeless gift and a lifelong cultural and wellness practice.

The main event was hosted by the Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT) in Gurugram, where scientists, officers, staff members, research scholars, and students participated in a collective yoga session and pledged to integrate yoga into their daily routines. Secretary Tejveer Singh and Senior Economic Adviser Divya Parmar participated virtually, delivering messages that emphasized yoga's role in achieving holistic health, enhanced workplace productivity, and well-balanced lifestyles.

Participation extended across all premier institutions and public sector undertakings under the department, including officials and staff at the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) headquarters in Chennai and its regional campuses, Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL) at its Kochi unit and branch offices, and HIL headquarters in New Delhi. Through these coordinated efforts, the DCPC reaffirmed its commitment to fostering healthy minds, strong bodies, and balanced lives through yoga practice.
