Day 4 Action and Standings

The fourth day of Season 3 of the Global e‑Cricket Premier League (GEPL), organized by JetSynthesys, featured seven matches that reshaped the eight‑team points table. Delhi Sharks, the franchise owned by Peyush Bansal, won both of their fixtures. In their first match they posted 77/2, highlighted by Akshat Koundal’s unbeaten 47 off 15 balls – the second‑highest power‑play score of the tournament – and then bowled out Gujarat Wolves for 59, securing an 18‑run victory. In the final match of the day they chased down Kolkata Hawks’ 67/2, with openers Rohan (31 off 14) and captain Akshat (38* off 13) forging an unbroken 64‑run partnership to win by four wickets. These wins lifted Delhi to the summit with 12 points from eight matches and a net run rate (NRR) of +0.85.

Chennai Falcons, the defending champions, edged Mumbai Grizzlies by four wickets in a last‑ball thriller, posting 67/4 and then chasing with Player of the Match Shivam’s 46, moving to 10 points and retaining second place with an NRR of +0.99. Mumbai Grizzlies later survived a scare to beat Hyderabad Rhinos by two wickets, posting 38 all out for Hyderabad and then reaching the target with Rohit Rathod’s 19 off 9 and Sonu’s 11 off 10, earning a Player of the Match award.

Bengaluru Badgers, owned by Nikhil Kamath, also recorded two wins. They defeated Suniel Shetty‑owned Pune Stallions by five wickets, with captain Manmeet Singh’s unbeaten 41 off 19 and Rituraj’s 23* off 10 forming a 64‑run stand. Later they beat Kolkata Hawks by four wickets after Swapnil Superkar’s hat‑trick (3/3) bowled Kolkata out for 53; Bengaluru chased the target in 3.3 overs, losing only one wicket.

Gujarat Wolves kept their playoff hopes alive with a 13‑run win over Pune Stallions, posting 79/2 thanks to Vishal’s unbeaten 36 off 14 and then defending the total as Pune fell short at 66/4. Saurabh earned Player of the Match with a hat‑trick (3/4) for Gujarat.
