The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2026, at Sanchar Bhawan, New Delhi. The event featured participation from Secretary Shri Amit Agrawal, senior officers, and over 100 officials and staff members who engaged in yoga asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation practices conducted by expert instructors from the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY).

The celebration followed the national theme 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing,' which emphasizes yoga's role in promoting physical vitality, mental resilience, emotional well-being, and social connectedness throughout life. Similar events were organized across various DoT field offices nationwide, including Licensed Service Areas (LSAs), Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA) offices, and Wireless Monitoring Organisation (WMO) units, demonstrating the department's commitment to employee wellness.

Participants collectively reaffirmed their commitment to adopting yoga as a way of life for holistic health and well-being. The session provided opportunities for physical fitness, mental wellness, and stress management benefits.
