EU Pavilion at Anuga Select India 2026
The European Union, acting as the Official Partner Region of Anuga Select India 2026, will present a curated showcase of more than 250 food and beverage products sourced from all 27 EU Member States. The exhibition will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO, Goregaon East, Mumbai (Hall 6, Booth B02‑C02) from 29 September to 1 October 2026, with opening hours of 10:00–18:00 on 29 September and 30 September, and 10:00–16:00 on 1 October.
Opening Ceremony and Registration
The official opening ceremony is scheduled for 12:00 on Tuesday, 29 September, and will be hosted by Mr. Petros Sourmelis, Minister Counsellor and Head of Trade and Economic Affairs Section at the Delegation of the European Union to India. The ceremony will be followed by a live cooking demonstration featuring premium EU ingredients. Registration for the opening ceremony must be completed by 25 September 2026, and all visitors must also register online for Anuga Select India to gain exhibition access.
Programme Highlights
The EU Pavilion will emphasize sustainable products and the EU’s Geographical Indication (GI) quality scheme, which protects product names linked to specific regions and traditional production methods. Permanent tastings will run throughout the three‑day event, complemented by live cooking shows conducted by chefs Ajay Chopra and Guntas Sethi. Product categories on display include dairy products, olive oil, fruit and vegetables, processed agricultural products, and beverages. The programme is designed to enable Indian food‑industry professionals—buyers, retailers, distributors, and hospitality operators—to discover the added value of EU offerings, explore pairing and presentation ideas, and identify opportunities for commercial cooperation.
Strategic Context
The pavilion’s activities align with ongoing negotiations between the EU and India on a Free Trade Agreement and on the mutual recognition of Geographical Indications. EU officials, including H.E. Dr Ewa Suwara, Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union to India, highlighted that these negotiations will expand Indian access to premium European goods, offering authentic regional flavors, world‑class quality, and sustainable innovation.
