FADA Academy and ASDC Inaugurate Joint Automotive Training Centre in Agra

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) Academy, in collaboration with the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), inaugurated their first joint training centre - Autograd Regional Skill Development Centre - in Agra on October 11, 2026. The centre is located within the dealership premises of Ashok Auto Sales and Manoram Bajaj Group, representing a significant step toward integrating industry-aligned training directly into automotive dealership operations.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon'ble Minister of State of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, along with Mr C S Vigneshwar (Chairman of FADA Academy & Research), Mr. Prasanna Pahade (CEO of ASDC), Mr. Sandeep Narain (Chairperson of FADA Uttar Pradesh), Mr. Ricardo Lima (Former General Secretary of ALADDA Brazil), Dr. Ranjana Bansal (Chairperson of Ashok Auto Group), Mr. R. M. Kapoor (Managing Director of Manoram Bajaj Group), and Mr. Dharmendra Sharma (Dean of FADA Academy).

The primary objective of this initiative is to bridge the gap between training and employability by preparing candidates for the actual demands of automotive dealership operations. The centre aims to equip aspiring professionals with relevant job skills, practical knowledge, workplace confidence, and capabilities required to perform effectively, adapt to technological changes, and pursue sustained career growth within the automotive retail sector.

The inaugural batch comprises candidates being trained for the Service Advisor job role, with participation from dealerships representing multiple automotive brands including Bajaj, TVS, Yamaha, and Tata Motors. This collaborative effort between FADA Academy and ASDC seeks to create a practical pathway from training to workplace readiness, strengthen dealership talent pools, support local employment, and contribute to the long-term development of India's automotive retail ecosystem.

Mr. C. S. Vigneshwar, Chairman of FADA Academy & Research, emphasized that the initiative aims to ensure candidates are not merely trained to secure jobs but are equipped to perform with confidence, deliver value to employers, and build long-term careers in the automotive industry. The Agra centre is intended to serve as a replicable model for dealership-led skill development across India.
