FAME India Scheme Supports 16.7 Lakh EVs, 5,195 E-Buses Deployed

FAME India Scheme's Phase I (2015-19) supported 2.8 lakh EVs with ₹359 crore in incentives, deployed 425 e-buses, and set up 520 charging stations.
FAME-II (2019-24) supported 16.7 lakh EVs, deployed 5,195 e-buses, and installed 9,159 public charging stations by Jan 2026.
Under the PM E-Drive Scheme, ₹4,391 crore is allocated for 14,028 e-buses and ₹2,000 crore for nationwide EV charging infrastructure.
