The Department of Fertilizers (DoF) and its Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have made significant progress under Special Campaign 6, which ran from 2 October to 31 October 2026. The campaign aimed to institutionalize Swachhata, reduce pendency, and enhance efficiency in government offices following guidelines from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
As of 29 October 2026, the Department and its PSUs achieved substantial results across multiple parameters. They reviewed 8,625 physical files out of 10,805 identified for review and managed 658 e-files, closing 345 of them. The campaign led to the weeding out of 1,606 physical files from 2,561 identified for disposal. Through extensive cleanliness efforts, PSUs conducted 3,137 outdoor cleanliness campaigns and generated revenue of ₹2,76,776 from scrap disposal. Most notably, the campaign freed 67,635 square feet of office space, enabling better utilization of premises.
On the administrative front, all five public grievance appeals reported in the campaign data were disposed of, and the Department reported one initiative for easing of rules. The social media outreach included 85 posts across platforms including X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Channel, and PIB X handle, highlighting cleanliness drives, records management, e-waste disposal, and other campaign activities.
The campaign reflects the Government of India's commitment to institutionalizing Swachhata, promoting efficient governance, and creating cleaner, more organized government workplaces.
