Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari chaired a review meeting of the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) on July 6, 2026, to assess project-level progress of various multimodal infrastructure initiatives across the country. The meeting specifically evaluated the development status of Multi Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs), Ropeways, Intermodal Stations, and Way Side Amenities being implemented nationwide.

Minister Gadkari emphasized the strategic importance of these transformative initiatives in building a future-ready, integrated transport ecosystem. He noted that these projects will strengthen multimodal connectivity, unlock new economic opportunities, promote balanced regional development, and enhance India's overall logistics competitiveness. The Minister evaluated key challenges affecting project implementation and directed all concerned stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks on priority and expedite project execution.

Gadkari stated that the timely completion of these projects will improve logistics efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and provide world-class infrastructure and amenities for commuters. These initiatives are positioned as advancing the vision of both a Viksit Bharat and an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, contributing to national development and self-reliance in infrastructure capabilities.
