Overview
Galgotias University, a private multidisciplinary institution in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, announced on 20 July 2026 that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Felix Hospital, also located in Greater Noida. Felix Hospital operates two NABH‑accredited multispecialty hospitals with a combined capacity of 400 beds.
Academic Collaboration
The MoU covers the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) and the School of Nursing. For SAHS, students pursuing Physiotherapy, Cardiovascular Therapy, Laboratory Sciences, Optometry, and Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology will receive clinical exposure in their respective specialties at Felix Hospital, complementing on‑campus facilities such as electro‑therapy labs and an outpatient department. For the School of Nursing, the agreement strengthens the compulsory clinical rotations integral to the four‑year B.Sc. Nursing programme, which is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council and the Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty.
Training Structure
Students will move from the university’s state‑of‑the‑art nursing simulation lab—where they first master clinical procedures and emergency response on advanced mannequins—to real‑patient care at Felix Hospital. The partnership ensures structured clinical exposure, mandatory internships, competency‑based education, and hands‑on training with advanced medical technologies. Training will be conducted under experienced clinicians, technologists, and nurses, adhering to NABH quality standards, patient‑safety protocols, and the curriculum prescribed by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions.
Additional Initiatives
Beyond bedside training, the collaboration will promote interdisciplinary learning, joint research projects, workshops, and continuing professional education, aiming to link classroom and laboratory learning with actual healthcare delivery and to develop technical, ethical, and interpersonal skills required in modern clinical practice.
Prior University‑Hospital Engagements
The MoU adds to Galgotias University’s recent engagement with the regional health ecosystem, notably the upgrade of the Community Health Centre at Dadha, Greater Noida, in coordination with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar. This upgrade enhanced the physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit with modern therapy equipment and trained physiotherapy support staff to improve rural access to care.
