Event Overview
Gastech 2026, the world’s largest natural gas, LNG, low‑carbon solutions, hydrogen, shipping, AI for energy and electrification exhibition, will be held in Bangkok from 14 September to 17 September 2026. The event is hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Energy and is expected to attract more than 50,000 attendees representing over 150 countries, with more than 800 exhibiting companies.
Ministerial & Session Highlights
The Strategic Conference will convene 19 government ministers, including senior representatives from Thailand, Egypt, Nigeria, Singapore, Oman, Libya and the United States. Over 200 sessions will be scheduled, featuring flagship ministerial panels such as “The energy reset: Who controls power in the new global order?” and “Demand surge, system strain: Asia’s energy stress test,” which will examine national strategies for resilient, diversified energy systems and immediate actions to secure reliable power through reform, regional integration and scalable gas and LNG infrastructure.

A roster of C‑suite leaders will address the conference. Exhibition Details
The exhibition floor will be anchored by co‑hosts Chevron, ExxonMobil and Shell, with national consortium partners EGAT, PTT and Gulf, and national consortium supporters RATCH and EGCO. Participants will include energy producers such as ADNOC, XRG, Cheniere, Venture Global and Woodside Energy; buyers and utilities such as KOGAS, GAIL, SEFE, Uniper and ENGIE; trading houses Vitol and Trafigura; and engineering and technology providers Bechtel, Technip Energies, Samsung Heavy Industries, Baker Hughes, Siemens Energy and Honeywell. The show floor is designed to facilitate offtake discussions, terminal and grid projects, and infrastructure financing.
Historical Deal Context
The exhibition builds on the approximately US$60 billion in commercial agreements and investments that were facilitated at Gastech 2025, underscoring the event’s role as a catalyst for large‑scale energy partnerships and financing.
Strategic Significance
Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events, emphasized that the world needs more energy delivered more reliably, sustainably and to more people, and that Gastech provides the platform where governments, industry and investors can shape policy, form partnerships and mobilise the investments required for long‑term growth. The event’s focus on Asia reflects the region’s rapid industrialisation, urbanisation and AI‑driven expansion, which together drive more than 80 % of projected global energy demand growth.
