GGGI announced India Smart Grid Forum as Engagement & Outreach Partner for the five‑year Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition project.
The project spans five countries and in India has a registry of 1,687 buildings, 302 assessed and 60 earmarked for retrofits.
Over 2,400 professionals across 18 Indian states have been trained, with women comprising 24% of participants, supporting material manufacturers, ESCOs and officials.
Four universities have shown interest in integrating low‑carbon building concepts into curricula, and knowledge products are available on the project website.
