GLOBOIL India 2026 – Event Overview
The 29th edition of GLOBOIL India was held at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake from September 29 to October 1, 2026. Organized by Tefla’s, the three‑day conference ran under the theme “At The Inflection Point: Energy, Sustainability & India’s Demand Future” and brought together international industry leaders, policymakers, commodity traders, processors, refiners, investors and experts from India and abroad.
Key Participants and Partners
The event was supported by the Indonesian Plantations Fund (IPF), which manages funds for sustainable plantation development across palm oil, coconut and cocoa. Presenting Partner AWL Agri Business Ltd. served as the presenting partner, Patanjali Foods Ltd. held naming‑rights, and TransRISK was the “Powered By” partner. GAPKI (Indonesian Palm Oil Association) acted as Country Partner, while the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) was the Inter‑Governmental Partner and The Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA) served as Chief Patron. Platinum Partners included Liberty Oil Mills, Bunge, N.K. Proteins, ADM Agro Industries India and Jivan Oil World. Diamond Partners comprised MTG Agro Trading (Miratorg), Oyal Makler Commodities, Savera International, Fortune Natural Resources, StoneX Financial, Myande, Rusagro Oils and Fats, Megamont, Control Union, RSPO, CME Group and Q.O.L. Special Partners were also announced.
Programme Highlights
The inaugural session on September 30 featured an address by Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini binti Ahmad, Honourable Minister of Plantation and Commodities, Government of Malaysia, and a keynote by Mdm. Izzana Salleh, Secretary General of CPOPC. Discussions covered global edible‑oil market trends, international price movements, commodity exchanges, risk management, supply security, market volatility, sustainability, traceability, artificial intelligence applications and next‑generation processing technology. Between business sessions, delegates networked through the Asia Africa Agri Alliance.
Awards and Entertainment
The GLOBOIL Awards 2026 ceremony on September 30 honoured more than 25 individual, company and trade categories. Actor Celina Jaitly presented the inaugural GLOBOIL Conscious Leadership for Peace and Harmony Award 2026 to Shri Dinesh Shahra. Actor Sonu Sood, recognized for humanitarian work, joined the award committee to present the first set of awards. Priyam Patel of N.K. Proteins was named GLOBOIL India Man of the Year 2026, and Vijay Data of Vijay Solvex received the GLOBOIL India Legend 2026 award. The evening also featured performances by the Harmony Heaven Choir and comedian Shaarang Shringarpure, with Sonu Sood sharing the stage.
Organiser’s Statement
Aadil Singh, Director of Tefla’s, said, “GLOBOIL has always been where this industry comes to do business and to meet each other. The days are about markets and policy, and the evening is about the people. This year we wanted delegates to leave with both: three days of serious conversation about where the trade goes next, and a night they will talk about. Having Sonu Sood and Celina Jaitly with us, alongside the Harmony Heaven Choir and Shaarang, made it that night.”
Outlook
Over 29 editions, GLOBOIL India has grown into an international platform for networking, knowledge exchange and collaboration across edible oils, fats, oleochemicals and allied sectors. Preparations for the 30th edition will be announced shortly.
