The Department of Space has detailed multiple government initiatives to boost production and manufacturing of space technology in India through a parliamentary response. The comprehensive package includes a liberalized Foreign Direct Investment policy for the space sector and a discounted pricing policy enabling Non-Government Entities to access ISRO facilities. Financial support mechanisms comprise a ₹1,000 crore Venture Capital Fund to support space startups and a separate ₹500 crore Technology Adoption Fund to accelerate development, demonstration, and commercialization of indigenous space technologies.

The government is facilitating private sector growth through access to ISRO infrastructure, technical expertise, and mentorship programs. Additional support includes skill development initiatives to address evolving workforce requirements, establishment of a Technical Centre for affordable testing and validation of space systems, and transfer of ISRO-developed technologies to industry for commercialization. The PSLV Orbital Experimental Module platform provides opportunities for technology validation, while the "Satellite Bus as a Service" initiative aims to develop indigenous satellite platform capabilities.

State governments are being encouraged to establish manufacturing clusters and common testing facilities to boost manufacturing capacity. These IN-SPACe schemes are PAN India initiatives, though state-wise and gender-wise details are not maintained as the private space sector is currently in a nascent, developmental phase. Government interventions focus on creating baseline infrastructure, facilitating technology transfer, developing technologies, and promoting investments.

Awareness and promotion of these schemes occur through multiple outreach platforms including industry interaction meetings, Space Technology Adoption and Awareness Workshops, task-specific webinars, stakeholder consultations, conferences, exhibitions, and periodic publications. These initiatives facilitate engagement with Non-Government Entities, academia, startups, MSMEs, and other stakeholders while disseminating information on policy reforms, funding opportunities, regulatory frameworks, and capacity-building programmes.
