Event featured floral tributes by Vice-President, Prime Minister Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker, and other dignitaries.
Ceremony included Buddhist chants by monks and cultural presentations by Song & Drama Division artists.
Public allowed to pay respects throughout the day with thousands of citizens participating.
