The Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) has sanctioned projects worth Rs. 2.83 lakh crore for smart metering and distribution loss reduction.
Under RDSS, 4.69 crore smart meters have been installed, contributing to a total of 6.13 crore smart meters installed across various schemes.
National AT&C losses reduced from 21.91% in FY21 to 15.04% in FY25, while billing efficiency improved from 84.08% to 87.59%.
