The Ministry of Electronics & IT reported on multiple government initiatives to build a skilled drone workforce, with over 32,000 beneficiaries trained under the SwaYaan project.
Key programs include Remote Pilot Training (42,412 pilots certified), the Namo Drone Didi scheme (500 SHG members trained), and PMKVY 4.0 (25,791 candidates trained in drone tech).
The PUSHPAK national mission and a PLI scheme for drones have been launched, with the latter creating 2,650 jobs, to develop an indigenous drone ecosystem.
