Overview
Pune‑based entrepreneur Sagar Ahiwale, Managing Director of Green Solution, has been selected to join a ten‑member Indian industry delegation travelling to the Czech Republic to study advanced environmental technologies. The delegation is headed by Chandigarh Chief Secretary H Rajesh Prasad and includes representatives from Maharashtra such as Ahiwale and Swapnil Gavkar of Niv BioRoots Sustainable Fuels, as well as delegates from IIT Ropar, Chitkara University, various government and administrative bodies, research institutions and industry.

The group will remain in the Czech Republic until 25 September 2026, with scheduled visits to Prague, Zlin and Ostrava. During the visit they will hold meetings and interactions with Czech government representatives, research institutions, technology organisations and industry stakeholders.

The delegation’s agenda centres on technologies related to water purification, wastewater treatment, waste management, recycling and resource recovery. Ahiwale’s participation is aimed at exploring sustainable environmental technologies and potential partnerships in water conservation, water reuse, wastewater treatment and the recovery of energy and resources from waste. The mission seeks to identify opportunities for technology transfer, joint research and commercial collaborations that can be adapted to Indian conditions, thereby strengthening India’s water economy through improved resource efficiency and sustainable practices.
