HUDCO received an Office Memorandum dated 1st September, 2026 from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
The memorandum directs the transfer of shares currently held in the demat account of Ministry of Rural Development (20.73% stake) to the demat account of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (currently 54.27% stake).
This transfer will maintain the total Government of India shareholding at the existing level of 75%, with the President of India remaining the promoter through the consolidated Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs holding.
The company indicates that further developments regarding this share transfer will be communicated in due course.
