IEA head Fatih Birol said the agency stands ready to release additional oil stockpiles if the Iran war deepens the energy shock.
The conflict caused the worst global energy disruption, damaging over 80 oil and gas facilities including production sites, terminals and refineries.
IEA has not yet decided whether a stockpile release will be needed to stabilise markets, hoping intervention remains unnecessary.
