The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has commenced its e-counselling admission process for six MA and four PG Diploma programmes across its six campuses in New Delhi, Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Amravati, Jammu, and Kottayam. Registrations are open at https://iimc.admissions.nic.in/ until June 7, 2026, with the first allotment to be declared on June 9.
IIMC has introduced three new MA programmes this year: MA in Health Communication, MA in Media and Communication Governance, and MA in Corporate Communication and Brand Management. The institute continues to offer its four legacy PG Diploma programmes in English, Hindi, Radio and Television Journalism, and Advertising and Public Relations.
Eligibility criteria require Indian nationals to hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks and a valid CUET-PG score in Mass Communication and Journalism (COQP17) for MA programmes. For PG Diploma programmes, graduates need a valid CUET-PG score in the same subject. Age limits are set at 25 years for General category candidates, 28 years for OBC candidates, and 30 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates as of August 1, 2026.
The admission process requires candidates to carefully select their programme and campus preferences during registration, as changes will not be accepted after submission. Successful candidates must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs. 20,000 to confirm admission, with the remaining tuition fee due within stipulated timelines.
Documentation requirements include submission of high school certificates for date of birth verification and final graduation mark sheets. Candidates awaiting final results must submit documents within stipulated deadlines, while reserved category candidates may provide an undertaking if unable to submit caste certificates immediately.
