IIP launched Diamond Jubilee Year on 14 May 2026 in Mumbai, commemorating 60 years of packaging innovation and sustainability.
Union Minister Jitin Prasada urged “Make in India, Package in India, Design in India” and stressed AI and tech for packaging competitiveness.
He noted that about 95% of the world’s packaging flutes are produced in Pilibhit, underscoring India’s export strength and quality focus.
The event featured a MoU with FDDI, a commemorative stamp launch, and references to the Jan Vishwas Bill easing compliance for investors.
