India Adds Historic 6.1 GW Wind Capacity in 2025–26

India achieved a record 6.1 GW wind energy capacity addition in 2025–26, ranking fourth globally with 56.1 GW installed.
Government targets 100 GW wind capacity by 2030 and 156 GW by 2036, supported by a 1164 GW estimated potential at 150m height.
