India Lists 25 Carbon Capture Projects Across 8 States

The Ministry of Power listed 25 carbon capture and utilization projects across India, detailing their operational status and capacities.
Three projects are operational, including a 3,000 TPA CO2-to-methanol plant by NTPC and a 60,000 TPA capture facility in Tamil Nadu.
Six projects are under construction, including NTPC's ethanol and sustainable aviation fuel plants, and a 24 KTPA unit by HPCL.
Sixteen projects are proposed, including carbon capture in cement, refining, and enhanced oil recovery across multiple states.
