India LPG Bookings Reach 98% After Enforcement

Government of India conducted over 128,000 LPG inspections and raids since March 2026, seizing more than 59,000 cylinders to curb hoarding.
Online LPG bookings rose to approximately 98% of total orders, while OTP‑based delivery authentication reached 92%, boosting transparency.
Over 5.1 million households got LPG cylinders in one day, and >1 million commercial cylinders sold since March 23, supported by stable crude inventories.
Most LPG distributorships operated on Sundays, ensuring uninterrupted supply, while bulk non‑domestic LPG was restored for food, polymer and agriculture sectors.
