Crude oil for August delivery dropped 1.67% (1.22 dollars) to $71.99 a barrel, while the September Brent contract fell 1.50% (1.15 dollars) to $75.65 a barrel.
Foreign Exchange and Index Futures
The USD/INR exchange rate eased 0.01% to 94.73, and the EUR/INR rate declined 0.43% to 107.35. The US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.28% to a level of 101.46.
