The Department of Posts (DoP) will celebrate National Postal Week from October 9 to 15, 2026, commencing with World Post Day on October 9th under the theme 'One Postal Network, Infinite Possibilities'. The week-long celebration aims to highlight India Post's efforts to make postal services more convenient, accessible, and responsive to citizen needs through modernization initiatives and digital transformation.

The celebrations will feature specially themed days, each focusing on different aspects of postal services. World Post Day on October 9th will emphasize the universal significance of postal services in connecting people, communities, and businesses. Fun with Philately Day on October 12th will highlight the cultural, educational, and historical dimensions of stamp collection and postal heritage.

Financial Inclusion & CCS Day on October 13th will showcase the Department's contribution to strengthening financial inclusion through its extensive network, particularly reaching citizens across diverse geographical and socio-economic backgrounds. Mails & Parcels Day on October 14th will focus on reliable and efficient mail and parcel services that connect individuals, businesses, and institutions across the country. Technology & Innovation Day on October 15th will conclude the celebrations by showcasing the Department's adoption of technology and innovative solutions to improve postal operations and service delivery.

The Department is implementing several modernization initiatives including N-Gen Post Offices and Jan Sewa Connect Post Offices to create modern and inclusive service spaces. Digital platforms such as the Dak Sewa App and Dak Mitra App are making postal services more accessible and user-friendly. These efforts are transforming India Post into a more connected, responsive, and technology-enabled organization capable of meeting future needs while maintaining its role as a vital link connecting people, communities, and businesses across the nation.
