The National Statistics Office released the 33rd edition of Energy Statistics India 2026, providing integrated data on energy reserves, production, and consumption.
Total Primary Energy Supply grew 2.95% to 932,816 KToE in FY25, with coal remaining the dominant source of energy supply.
Renewable energy potential stands at 4.7 million MW, with solar accounting for 71%, and installed capacity reached 229,346 MW in FY25.
Credit flow to the energy sector grew sixfold from ₹1,688 crore in 2021 to ₹10,325 crore in 2025.
