India's Green Port Initiatives and 2030 Emission Targets

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has launched green initiatives including the Green Tug Transition Programme and port electrification.
Three major ports have been designated as Green Hydrogen Hubs, and 180 port development projects were approved in the last two years.
The Ministry has set 2030 targets including 60% renewable energy use and a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions per cargo ton.
