India's Ministry Outlines Green Port Initiatives Under Maritime Vision 2030

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has launched multiple green initiatives, including a Green Tug Transition Programme and renewable energy adoption at ports.
Around 180 port development projects, including modernization and green initiatives, were approved in the last two fiscal years (FY24-25).
The Maritime India Vision 2030 sets specific KPIs, including a 60% renewable energy target and a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions per cargo ton by 2030.
