The Ministry of Power released state-wise electricity generation data from non-conventional sources for the last five financial years and the current year (till Feb 2026).
Total generation from non-conventional sources increased from 1,47,247.51 million units in FY21 to 2,55,009.19 million units in FY25, with the current year (till Feb 2026) reaching 2,83,621.23 million units.
The government has implemented multiple schemes and policies, including PM-KUSUM and the National Green Hydrogen Mission, to promote renewable energy capacity and consumption.
