Sector Performance
Advances were led by the Real Estate, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors. The banking and insurance subsectors posted the strongest gains, while information‑technology stocks were the primary laggards.

- SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd rose 2.79% (46.20 points) to finish at 1,700.30 on the NSE.
- HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd added 2.73% (14.10 points) to close at 530.20.
- ITC Ltd increased 2.62% (6.75 points) to end at 264.75.
On the BSE, ITC gained 2.46% to 264.35, State Bank of India was up 2.24% at 991.10, and Nestle India Ltd rose 2.15% to 1,386.00.
Top Losers
- Tata Consultancy Services Ltd fell 3.02% (68.00 points) to 2,183.00 on the NSE and 2.60% to 2,191.50 on the BSE.
- Wipro Ltd declined 2.13% (3.62 points) to 166.38.
- Infosys Ltd dropped 1.80% (19.40 points) to 1,057.60 on the NSE and 1.43% to 1,060.65 on the BSE.
- IndusInd Bank Ltd was down 1.31% to 945.05 on the BSE.
