Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico at Bratislava Castle, where they elevated bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Partnership level. The leaders held talks covering trade and investment, defence and security, space, civil nuclear, renewable energy, digital innovation, academic exchanges, culture, and talent mobility. They explored newer areas of collaboration including emerging technologies, AI, and supercomputers.

Prime Minister Modi thanked Slovakia for their solidarity and support following the April 2025 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, underscoring both countries' commitment to countering terrorism in all forms. The leaders exchanged views on regional and global issues and reaffirmed their commitment to multilateralism and reform of global governance institutions.

Following the talks, four memoranda of understanding were exchanged covering cooperation in digital technologies, labour migration, higher education and research, and audio-visual creation. A Letter of Intent was also exchanged to promote cooperation in defence. Additionally, India agreed to establish its first-ever Chair in Artificial Intelligence at the Technical University of Kosice.
