President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu reviewed the passing out parade of the 158th Regular Course and the 141st Technical Graduate Course at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun on June 13, 2026. The event marked a significant milestone with the participation of nine women cadets, which the President described as a watershed moment in the history of IMA and an inspiring example of India's march towards women-led development.

The President congratulated officer cadets from friendly foreign countries, expressing confidence that they would bring laurels to their armed forces and countries through the values imbibed at IMA. She noted that the presence of foreign cadets reflects India's commitment to fostering friendship, cooperation, and peaceful relations with countries worldwide, with cadets developing mutual trust and professional bonds that strengthen defence cooperation among nations.

Addressing the officer cadets, the President emphasized their role as protectors of the nation's sovereignty, unity, and integrity, carrying the trust of over 140 crore citizens. She advised them that service is the highest duty and urged them to be lifelong learners, courageous decision-makers, and ethical leaders in an era of rapidly changing security challenges and technological advances. The President stressed the importance of leading by example, inspiring confidence, encouraging teamwork, balancing operational effectiveness with soldier well-being, and upholding the finest traditions of the Armed Forces.
