The Indian Navy commissioned its fourth Project 17A stealth frigate, INS Taragiri, in a ceremony attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The frigate, built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, has over 75% indigenous content and features advanced stealth technology and weaponry.
The event highlighted India's growing defence manufacturing and self-reliance, with defence exports reaching ₹38,424 crore in FY 2025-26.
