Indian Naval Ships Sahyadri and Kulish have concluded their participation in the ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise (AIME 2026), which was conducted in the Philippines under the theme 'Anchored in Trust, United at Sea'. The exercise provided opportunities for professional interaction, operational coordination, and maritime training through both Harbour and Sea Phases.

The Opening Ceremony was followed by the Harbour Phase, which comprised a range of engagements including Key Leaders' Engagements, sporting events, Yoga sessions, Community Interaction, and Subject Matter Expert Exchanges. A Table-Top Exercise, Operational Synchronisation, and Pre-Sail Brief facilitated coordination and preparation for the subsequent Sea Phase.

During the Sea Phase, INS Sahyadri and INS Kulish participated in coordinated maritime exercises including Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, Visit-Board-Search-Seizure (VBSS) drills, and Underway Replenishment drills. Helicopter exercises included cross-deck landings, vertical replenishment, and CASEVAC (Casualty Evacuation) drills, all of which enhanced coordination and interoperability among the participating maritime forces.

The Harbour and Sea Phases of AIME 2026 reinforced trust and enhanced interoperability, contributing to effective maritime partnerships. The participation of the Indian naval vessels reaffirmed the Indian Navy's continued commitment to engagement with partner maritime forces, in consonance with India's Act East Policy and the vision of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions). The exercise concluded on October 3, 2026, as announced by the Press Information Bureau.
