The Ministry of Ports has implemented the Green Tug Transition Programme and other green initiatives to develop sustainable ports and maritime infrastructure.
Three major ports have been designated as green hydrogen hubs, and 180 port development projects were approved in the last two years.
The ministry has set 2030 targets for renewable energy, equipment electrification, CO2 reduction, and water conservation at major ports.
