Indian Railways Operates 18,262 Summer Special Train Trips

Indian Railways approved 908 special trains for 18,262 trips from April 15 to July 15, 2026, to manage summer passenger demand.
Central Railway leads with 3,082 approved trips, followed by East Central Railway (2,711) and North Western Railway (2,245).
Of the total, 660 trains (11,294 trips) have been notified for booking to reduce waitlists and enhance connectivity.
