Indian Railways has achieved significant milestones in Special Campaign 6 for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM-6), which was implemented from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The campaign focused on multiple operational areas including cleanliness initiatives, scrap disposal, e-waste management, disposal of pending matters, and process simplification.

A major public engagement initiative, Rail Jan Samvaad, was organized on October 22, 2026, at 5,884 railway stations across India to facilitate direct interaction with passengers and gather their feedback on cleanliness, passenger amenities, and service delivery. The Chairman & CEO of the Railway Board, Shri Satish Kumar, participated in the program by interacting with stakeholders at New Delhi station, while the Secretary of DARPG participated at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai.

The campaign has surpassed several key targets ahead of its conclusion on October 31, 2026. Indian Railways is now focusing on consolidating these achievements and sustaining the best practices adopted during the campaign, with continued emphasis on cleanliness, efficient resource management, timely disposal of pending matters, and improved passenger services.
