4th BCC&I Tech E Summit – Overview

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I), in partnership with Infinity Group, concluded the fourth edition of its Tech E Summit in Bengaluru on 6–7 August 2026. The two‑day event was held under the theme “From Innovation to Integration: Powering the Next Wave of Tech Entrepreneurship” and was inaugurated by West Bengal Finance Minister Dr. Swapan Dasgupta, who served as the chief guest. Shri Ravindra Chamaria, Chairman & Managing Director of Infinity Group, addressed the inaugural session, emphasizing the need for stronger industry‑government collaboration to channel investments into West Bengal and encouraging the creation of globally competitive startups from the state.

High‑Level Roundtable on West Bengal Opportunities

A key highlight was an exclusive roundtable chaired by Dr. Swapan Dasgupta, bringing together senior representatives from leading technology firms that have either invested in West Bengal or are evaluating expansion in Kolkata. Participants included Wipro, Infosys, ANSR, Cognizant, Concentrix, Tredence, Wells Fargo, Northern Trust, ITC Infotech, Accenture, HCLTech, British Telecom (BT) and Zinnov. The discussion covered operating experiences in West Bengal, investment prospects, talent availability, infrastructure quality, ease of doing business and specific areas where deeper industry‑government cooperation could unlock further growth, reinforcing Kolkata’s emerging status as a hub for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), digital engineering and innovation‑led enterprises.

Session on GCCs, Age‑Tech and Eastern India’s Innovation Advantage

Aninda Das, Vice President – Marketing at Infinity Group, curated and moderated a high‑powered session titled “The Next Growth Frontier: GCCs, Age‑Tech & Eastern India’s Innovation Advantage”. The panel featured Rajagopal G (Co‑Founder, Director & Group CEO, Lifebridge Group), Soumya Basu Mallik (Head of Service Operations, British Telecom), Adarsh Narahari (Founder & Managing Director, Primus Senior Living), Santanu Ghosh (Head – East, Cushman & Wakefield), Sankar Ghosh (Managing Director – Accenture Global Mid‑Market), Dipankar Mukherjee (Chief of Marketing & Sales, mjunction Services Limited) and Sundar Ram VG (Partner & CEDA Leader, PwC India). The dialogue explored how GCCs are moving beyond traditional cost‑arbitrage models, how Eastern India can leverage its talent pool, strategic geography and emerging innovation ecosystem to attract next‑generation global enterprises, and how the ageing population creates a new “longevity economy” where technology, healthcare, senior living, wellness and financial services intersect.

Bengal‑Bengaluru Economic Bridge

The summit highlighted complementarities between Bengaluru and Kolkata, noting Bengaluru’s status as a world‑class technology hub and Kolkata’s offering of high‑quality talent, lower operating costs, robust IT infrastructure and access to markets across Eastern, Northeastern and South‑East Asian regions. The growing presence of global enterprises in Kolkata, coupled with renewed state‑government engagement, was portrayed as a catalyst for the next phase of Bengal’s economic growth.

Infinity Group’s Role in Bengal’s Tech Ecosystem

Infinity Group, a pioneer in developing Kolkata’s IT and technology parks, underscored its contribution to enabling hundreds of national and global enterprises to establish operations in West Bengal. Through its portfolio of technology parks and commercial developments, the group continues to create future‑ready infrastructure for enterprises, GCCs, technology firms and emerging businesses. Its association with the summit reflects a commitment to strengthening Bengal’s position on the national technology map and fostering platforms for industry, government and investors to collaborate on the state’s growth agenda.

The summit concluded with a clear message that the next wave of growth will be defined not merely by technology but by the integration of talent, infrastructure, capital, innovation and policy.
