The Ministry of Defence reported the successful Passing Out Parade of Batch 01/26 at INS Chilka on June 12, 2026. A total of 3,011 trainees completed 16 weeks of rigorous ab-initio naval training, marking their transformation into disciplined naval personnel ready for service. The batch composition included 2,746 Agniveers of the Indian Navy (with 116 women Agniveers) and 265 Naviks of the Indian Coast Guard.

The parade was reviewed by VAdm Sanjay Vatsayan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, as Chief Guest, with Cmde B Deepak Aneel serving as Conducting Officer. The event was attended by veterans, senior officers, eminent personalities, and family members of the trainees. VAdm Vatsayan addressed the gathering, congratulating the trainees and exhorting them to uphold the Indian Navy's core values of Duty, Honour, and Courage while serving with dedication, integrity, and professionalism.

Awards were presented to outstanding trainees: Kornana Dhanalakshmi received the Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy and Gold Medal for Best Trainee (SSR), while Rudhikesh Maruti Pawar won the same award for Best Trainee (MR). Prapti Ramesh Chavhan was awarded the Rolling Trophy for Best Woman Trainee in the Overall Order of Merit, and Devasish was adjudged the Best Navik (GD).

Prior to the parade, a Valedictory Function featured the presentation of the End-of-Term Report and a cultural program by trainees. Kharavela Division won the Overall Championship Trophy, with Angre Division as Runners-Up. The bilingual trainees' magazine 'Ankur (01/26)' was unveiled, capturing the experiences and transformational journey of the trainees during their 16-week training period at INS Chilka.
