Interpack China 2026, formerly known as the Shanghai World of Packaging (swop), has been rebranded to align with the global interpack alliance, signalling a strategic upgrade in scale and influence.

Event Details

The exhibition will take place from November 16 to 18, 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). It will occupy 70,000 square meters of floor space and is organized jointly by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd..

Exhibitor and Visitor Expectations

The fair anticipates over 970 domestic and international elite exhibitors and expects more than 47,000 trade visitors. It will provide comprehensive coverage of the processing and packaging value chain, featuring machinery for food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and non‑food consumer goods, as well as production equipment for plastic and paper containers, packaging material production and processing machinery, finished‑product displays, intelligent and automated packaging systems, logistics packaging, and packaging design. Specialized sectors such as packaging printing, processing components, and supporting services will also be represented.

Historical Context

Since entering China in 2015, the event has grown alongside the nation’s packaging industry. The predecessor, swop 2025, attracted 43,090 trade visitors from 122 countries and regions and recorded a 97 % satisfaction rate, providing a solid foundation for the 2026 edition.

  • International Green Packaging Development Summit: Co‑hosted with the WPO Board Meeting and organised by CEPI, the summit aligns with China’s “Dual Carbon” strategy, offering a platform for policy, standards, technology, and industrial innovation.
  • Save Food (China) Forum & Awards: Held on the afternoon of November 16, 2026, featuring the SAVE FOOD Design Award and Sustainability Design Award China, focusing on fresh‑food preservation, supply‑chain loss reduction, and lightweight circular packaging.

Interpack China 2026 introduces a "Buyer Navigation: Tailored Routes for Production Pain Points" system, mapping personalized pathways for sectors such as food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. International buyers with verified procurement mandates will receive VIP hospitality, including factory visits, guided booth introductions, and private meeting rooms, facilitating high‑impact, real‑time sourcing.

Registration and Group Benefits

The visitor pre‑registration portal is now open.
