Kerala Cyber Suraksha Summit 2026 Launches Resilience Foundation
The second edition of the Kerala Cyber Suraksha Summit (KCSS) was held in Kochi, Kerala on 9 September 2026 and was organised by global technology systems integrator and cybersecurity solutions provider F9 Infotech. The summit was inaugurated by Chief Guest Hibi Eden, Member of Parliament, who underscored the increasing importance of cybersecurity awareness and preparedness as technology becomes embedded in everyday life, governance, education and the economy.
During the inauguration, the Kerala Cyber Resilience Foundation was announced as a new platform aimed at strengthening cybersecurity awareness, preparedness, skills and resilience across the state. One of its first major initiatives will be the rollout of free cybersecurity training, awareness programmes and certification for government‑run educational institutions throughout Kerala, to be facilitated by F9 Infotech.
In his keynote, Manoj Abraham, IPS, DGP and Director of the Vigilance and Anti‑Corruption Bureau, warned that cybercrime has assumed industrial‑scale dimensions and can no longer be tackled by security agencies alone. He cited a 389 % year‑on‑year increase in ransomware victims worldwide and stated that financial losses from cyber fraud in India during 2025 totalled ₹19,813 crore. Abraham also highlighted the global shortage of 4.8 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs.
Air Commodore Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, Kirti Chakra awardee and astronaut candidate for India’s Gaganyaan mission, emphasized digital and AI sovereignty as strategic national imperatives in the era of AI‑driven cyber warfare.
Jayakumar Mohanachandran, Founder of the Kerala Cyber Suraksha Summit and Co‑founder & CEO of F9 Infotech, noted that more than ₹56,000 crore in cyber‑fraud complaints have been reported across India in the last three years, while the country’s cyber‑fraud response systems have helped save over ₹11,000 crore across 32 lakh complaints. He stressed that the summit’s purpose is to move cybersecurity beyond boardrooms to become a societal priority.
Vinayak Godse, CEO of the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), praised F9 Infotech for creating a platform that brings together government, national security, law‑enforcement, industry, academia and technology companies, noting that cybersecurity discussions must extend beyond law‑enforcement to business, innovation and governance.
The event attracted more than 1,000 delegates and 45-plus speakers from government, national security, law‑enforcement, global technology firms, industry, academia and the broader cybersecurity ecosystem. Supporting organisations included DSCI, TiE Kerala, the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other technology communities. Global technology leaders such as Cisco, Amazon Web Services, Google and Microsoft expressed strong support for KCSS, reflecting a growing need for collaborative cybersecurity platforms and industry‑wide resilience. Senior attendees also included C. Balagopal (Chairman, KSIDC), Dr Saji Gopinath (Vice Chancellor, Digital University Kerala) and Rajesh Vikraman (Chief Information Security Officer, F9 Infotech).
F9 Infotech’s broader strategy, as outlined by Rajesh Radhakrishnan, Co‑founder and CTO, is to expand beyond technology implementation toward building cybersecurity awareness, talent and resilience through initiatives such as KCSS and the proposed Kerala Cyber Resilience Foundation. The summit reinforced the central message that in the age of AI, cybersecurity is fundamental to national security, economic resilience and public trust.
