KPMG India Announces ENRich 2026 Innovation Awards Winners
On November 3, 2026, in Gurugram, Haryana, KPMG in India released the results of the ENRich 2026 Innovation Awards, an initiative designed to celebrate breakthrough innovations and solutions across energy, resources and adjacent sectors. The awards recognised three startups under the Entrepreneur Track and three organisations under the Enterprise Track.
The Entrepreneur Track winners were Varaha ClimateAg, Padcare Labs and Hanu AI. These startups were selected from more than 30 applications received nationwide and were evaluated through a rigorous process that included a pitch round before a distinguished jury of industry leaders and domain experts. The evaluation criteria focused on the innovative nature of the solutions as well as their potential business and social impact. The Enterprise Track recognitions were awarded to LOHUM, NTPC and the Central Himalayan Rural Action Group (CHIRAG), chosen from over 25 enterprise submissions that represented corporates, public‑sector bodies and social‑sector organisations.
The awards were presented by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, and Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairman of the Central Electricity Authority. The ENRich 2026 Innovation Awards were launched to highlight innovative solutions across four key themes: Energy and Sustainable Production; Water and Watershed Management; Sustainable Mining and Resource Management; and Forests, Afforestation and Natural Capital.
The Entrepreneur Track was conducted in collaboration with the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, aiming to identify, evaluate and showcase breakthrough solutions by startups with high potential and impact. The Enterprise Track, in contrast, focused on recognising solutions that have already been developed and scaled by larger organisations.
Commenting on the event, Anish De, National Leader – Energy Natural Resources & Chemicals (ENRC) and Infrastructure at KPMG in India, stated that addressing today’s sustainability and resource challenges requires innovation across the entire ecosystem, from emerging startups to enterprises driving impact at scale. He congratulated the winners for their commitment to advancing sustainable solutions and expressed hope that the recognition would act as a catalyst for broader adoption, collaboration and scaling of innovations that contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future.
The ENRich Innovation Awards form part of KPMG in India’s ongoing efforts to foster innovation that tackles key challenges in the energy and natural resources sector while promoting inclusive and sustainable growth.
